Check out BVI's prayer requests and praise reports
Our purpose is: To help people effectively communicate the Bible using illustrated lessons, stories, and songs, which are both flexible and interactive. To provide Christians worldwide with resources in their own language. To help both children and adults come to salvation, learn basic doctrine, grow in Christ, and have a missions focus.
Our flashcard publications have been used in Sunday school, children’s church, home school, Bible clubs, and many other venues and are available in over 65 languages and in both small and large group formats.
Please pray for retired BVI staff artist, Linda McInturff. She fell in October and tore the meniscus in her right knee. She underwent surgery to repair this and has been in therapy since then. Her knee is still quite swollen making it difficult to go up/down stairs, and because of the pain she has not been resume her various parti-time jobs which help to provide her income. She has also been unable to to work on the illustrations for the update of BVI's visualized flash card song, Blessed be the Name.
Please pray for the safety of the BVI staff and volunteers as they commute to/from the office over snowy or icy roads this winter.
Please continue to pray for Kris Mayer, one of BVI's Freelance Writers, the mother of our bookkeeper, Melody, who is having additional surgery on Friday, November 20. After she recovers from that she will most likely undergo chemotherapy and possibily radiation.

Please pray for the BVI Staff (Melody, Yuko and Patti) as they close out BVI's fiscal year this month. This includes taking the physical inventory in our warehouse as well as preparing many reports.
Please be in prayer for Kris Mayer, the mother of Melody, BVI's bookkeeper, who is also a freelance writer and copy editor for BVI. Kris has been diagnosed with cancer. They are not sure what stage it is, or whether it has spread to the lymph system. She is having an MRI on September 16, and is scheduled for surgery on October 7. At that time, they'll know whether she will undergo chemotherapy or radiation therapy. This has understandably also been a real blow to Melody, who is close to both of her parents.
Continue to pray for the preparations for our upcoming 50th Anniversary Banquet on October 24, 2009, celebrating God's faithfulness to BVI over the years. If you are in the Lancaster Area, why not plan on attending? Contact the BVI office to reserve a place for you.
