BVI provides an excellent way by which Christians may channel their gifts to
God's work. We believe a Christian's firstfruits or tithes should be
directed to his/her local church. Beyond that, BVI is a worthy parachurch
ministry where the gifts of friends are welcome. BVI is a non-profit, faith
ministry that complies with IRS code 501(c)(3). Tax deductible receipts are
issued. Gifts may be designated for:
-
General Operations
-
Support of a Specific Staff Member
-
Helen Odenwelder Missions Fund
-
Special Projects
-
In Honor or In
Memory Gifts
-
Planned (Deferred) Giving
Methods
PayPal - Donors wishing to give electronically can
do so through PayPal. PayPal provides a secure and cost-effective way for BVI to
process online electronic payments.
PayPal payments can be made in
one of two ways:
Donors
do not need a PayPal account to make a one-time donation, but will require an
account if they wish to make regularly recurring donations. Setting up a PayPal
account is free and easy. Your PayPal account can be used a number of other
places on the web. Donors wishing to use a credit card to make perpetual
monthly donations should choose the PayPal (Recurring) method.
Webstore - Donors who also regularly purchase BVI
materials can choose to add a donation to their orders. Both the price of the
materials ordered and the amount of the donation will be charged to the credit
card as one amount. The donor will receive a tax deductible receipt for the
gift portion of the amount.
Electronic Funds Transfer - It is possible to
set up an ACH transaction to have your donation processed electronically through
your bank. The funds will be withdrawn directly from your checking account. Click
the link to the right to download and print out the
authorization form needed to set up an automatic transaction.
Postal Mail & Phone - Donors are always welcome to
make donations through traditional methods such as postal mail and phone. Please
feel free to contact us if you have any questions about making a donation.
Commonly Asked Questions and Answers
-
Is my contribution tax-deductible?
Bible Visuals International is a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable
organization following all IRS guidelines. Gifts are deductible
according to IRS regulations.
-
How will the my
donation be used?
Bible Visuals International is organized as a non-profit organization. A
“for-profit” organization can seek funding from its owners or stock holders
to develop new products. For Bible Visuals, these “up-front” development
costs of new products are funded by our financial partners, since as a
non-profit we have no stockholders or owners. Your gifts to our general
operations provide this funding to further our ministry with new ways to
send for the truth of God’s word in song and stories.
-
I don't live in the United States.
Can I still contribute?
PayPal maintains a list of close to
40 approved countries including Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia,
Switzerland, and Japan. When making a donation, PayPal will make the
necessary currency conversion on your behalf. Additional information is
available during the donation process and on
PayPal's web site. Additionally, BVI accepts bank and wire transfers
for overseas donors. Please contact us if you would like more information
about this option.
-
I am having problems making a
donation. PayPal is not accepting my donation.
Please contact us if you require any assistance with online donations. We
can either assist you with the online donation process or take your donation
using a different method.
-
I need to
change or cancel my recurring PayPal donation. How do I do that?
Go to PayPal's homepage and log into your account. Once you are forwarded to
the main PayPal page, click on the "History" link in the second row. Listed
under your recent history, you will see your most recent payment to BVI.
Click on "Details" which will take you to the details of that specific
payment. Near the top of the page, you will see the words "In reference to:"
with a link having a large string of letters and numbers. Click on that link
and you will be taken to the details for your subscription. This page will
allow you to change the amount, the fund source, and even cancel the
subscription altogether. Please feel free to contact our office if you have
any questions.
-
Are there
alternative ways to support the ministry of BVI?
-
Non-cash gifts funded with appreciated assets (stocks, bonds, real estate)
may have tax–saving benefits.
-
Tribute Gifts. You may honor or memorialize a loved one. Their remembrance
will be printed in our newsletter.
-
Planned gifts can provide a life-income for you now and a gift deferred for
the future ministry of Bible Visuals.
-
Remembering Bible Visuals International in your Will provides for future
ministry.
-
I have used
computers, office equipment, or other things that I would like to see if BVI
has a use for. Do you accept donations of equipment?
BVI does have need for equipment and regularly makes use of such gifts.
Please contact our office with a description of the items and we can let you
know if it is something we can use.
-
I can't make a donation right now.
Are there other ways I can contribute?
There are plenty of
ways that you can help in supporting our ministry. Here are a few ideas
-
Call and request
copies of our catalog. Give one to your Christian Education director or
the other teachers at your church.
-
Visit your local
Christian bookstore. Ask them if they carry BVI's materials. If they
don't, give them BVI's contact information and a catalog and encourage
them to consider doing so.
-
We are always in
need of volunteer help at our office. We have both easy and challenging
jobs available for any skill level. If you live in the Lancaster County,
Pennsylvania area, contact us abut opportunities.
-
Next time you send
a care package to one of your church's missionaries, consider including a
BVI Visualized Bible Volume along with the teachers text in that countries
language. Not only will you provide the missionary with a useful tool, but
also
you will be introducing them to a wealth of great resources.
