Dear local Friends of BVI,
As the new director of Bible Visuals International, I have been blessed to become a part of this ministry. I am grateful for the part many of you have played in helping BVI over the years. You are our closest supporters in more ways than one. Some of you I have met already in local churches. Others I have met through our volunteer work. Still others I have met in name only through a donation or order. All of these meetings are precious to me because of the vested interest you have had in spreading the Gospel message through these visualized materials.
On Tuesday, September 7, 2010, we will be hosting a "Community Night" at Isaac's Restaurant and Deli in Lititz, PA. Between 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm, you can stop in and enjoy a delicious meal. Isaac's will donate 25% of this night's proceeds to our ministry. However, in order for BVI to get credit for your visit, you will need to bring in a flyer. I will be there most of the evening. I would love for you to have the opportunity to meet my family, to get to know you better and to share what God is doing through Bible Visuals International. The money raised from this "Community Night" will go toward our general fund, but will specifically help with several of our current projects, such as:
Project Poland-The Suliks are missionaries to Krakow, Poland. We would like to provide them with FREE materials for their church and camp ministries. This represents the first of several projects to get our translated materials onto the frontlines of mission work!
The George Mueller Project-We are in the process of developing a new visualized story about the life of George Mueller. Mueller's work through the orphanages of Bristol, England stands as a testament to the power of prayer and to the faithfulness of our great God.
The True Colors Project-We are continuing the process of converting all our materials into full color and reprinting them professionally. Through generous gifts, 47 books are now complete, but we still have 95 books to go! These vividly colored volumes resonate with children and help draw them to the spiritual meat found within the lessons.
The Visualized Bible PowerPoint Project-We have seventy-eight volumes (312 lessons) that we are in the process of converting into PowerPoint CDs. These CDs will be a wonderful asset to ministries here in the United States and around the world. Our first complete set has already been ordered by a missionary to Papua New Guinea!

Praise the Lord that the NT Introductory Volume has now been translated into Mongolian and available for purchase. This volume provides a good introduction to the Bible, as well as presenting the Gospel.
Pray for the missionary who continues to work on this translation project: he has requested NT Volume 1, The Eternal God, which teaches about the birth of Christ.

Dr. Carl Becker proved his words by treating leprosy patients, witch doctors, pygmy outcasts, and even terrorists during his 46 years as a medical missionary in the Belgian Congo. His remarkable story is told BVI's visualized flash card missions story, Doctor in the Pygmy Forest.
During this time the country was engulfed in political turmoil. These real-life events, that surrounded Becker and his fellow missionaries, come to life in this five chapter story. One African once said, "Many missionaries have preached Jesus Christ to me, and many missionaries have taught Jesus Christ to me, but in the doctor, I have seen Jesus Christ."
